8 Months?

Wow...it's really been 8 months since I've posted anything here? Sorry peeps! I mostly keep my updates restricted to Facebook, where I don't have to monitor what I post since I only add people I know. :o) So a LOT has happened since that last post.

::drumroll::  I am in a relationship! Heck yes! And he's amazing, not only because he puts up with MOI, but he makes me smile, he makes me laugh, and he treats me like a queen (what woman doesn't want that?!). I don't even know how I got so lucky...

Anyway, enough of the schmoozy shtuff...onto the life challenges. We (Chris and I) are now sharing an apartment (Yay!!) and we've got a room for Aidan (Chris's son, 4 yrs old) who is with us half of the time. :o)  He is such a cute kid, he's going to be a heartbreaker when he gets older!  If you ask him if he has a girlfriend, he'll say he has two..."Miss Liz and Miss Shell too." LOL  We love to take him to the rec center and kick soccer balls in the gym...his favorite sport!  He is also a PRO at Wii-bowling!  He calls it "Bowling in the TV"...haha!

Some of you might know that I took a semester off (they couldn't get my financial aid processed in time, oh well), but I am going to be back to the daily grind come summer.  I am scheduled for 9 credits this summer and 12 in the fall.  Little did I know, I'm just about 1 year away from getting an associates in general studies and then can transfer anywhere I want to finish with a major in whatever I want!  Chris and I have been talking about going overseas to look at schools for when he's done...can't wait!  He really wants to get into a Celtic Studies program and I would like to maybe dabble into History or Folklore...not sure yet.  He still insists that I get back into a music program, but I think at this age, I'm just not going to get anywhere with that.  Anyone have any suggestions on schools for us to look at?

Work is the same...crappy shifts, crappy work, crappy pay.  Nuff said.

How is everyone doing?  I love to get comments, so let me know what you are up to!!!

Oh yeah...I've been sewing a lot lately.  I started up quilting!!!  It's soo fun!!  Anyone want to start a swap??

((if you don't know what a swap is, you create a little package for another person, usually centered around a theme or a filled out survey or whatever...and someone does the same for you...everyone sends one, everyone gets one...fun times!!!))

"I'm only human..."

"I'm only human, save me...save me from myself.
I'm only human, I'm no superwoman..."

I know, I haven't blogged in forever on here. Sorry. (Don't think anyone really reads them much anyway...) Life lately has just been...there? I have so many things that are going on at the moment, but they're so not important to me at the moment that I just feel a little blah all the time. I got temporarily promoted at work, but it won't last (and I don't want it to anyway, they keep giving me crap for stupid things that aren't getting done when I'm barely keeping my head above the water). My department manager had to have surgery so I stepped in to fill her shoes until she comes back (or until school starts again, whichever comes first). Yeah, like I said, I feel like some of the people at work talk to me like I don't know what I'm doing, as if I haven't been in retail for the last 12 years of my life. Yeah, it IS the busiest time of year for my department (and our store too), but I can't do everything myself...I'm only one person. Anyway, enough about work...

School starts soon. I'm actually really ready for school to start this time. After pissing off the last semester, I really want to get back to the grind and get classes done this year. After everything that happened last year, I pretty much gave up last Spring semester, which was not a good decision on my part. Not only am I on academic probation, but I might lose my financial aid too. I'm not complaining though, it was my fault. For anyone that doesn't know, I've changed my major (again) to Theater Design with a costuming emphasis. I'm excited about it! Anyone that knows me knows that I love to sew, so it should be a good semester.

I can't stop thinking of dad lately. Seems like everything that I see or hear makes me think of him. And when I say everything, I mean everything. Was watching TV the other day and stopped at 'Say Yes To The Dress'. (For anyone that hasn't seen it, it's a show about a bridal shop in New York and helping brides pick out the "perfect" dress...) Yeah, I am a sucker for shows like that, but I couldn't help but think "I'll never have my dad to walk me down the aisle if I ever get married..." and "My dad will never be around to give boyfriends the 'talk'". Sigh. I think it might be time to get in to the doc again and try a different med so this doesn't affect school again. I really wish I could immerse myself in music like I usually do, but I really don't have the heart to. Besides, I lost all of my music on my external hard drive anyway. (only 13,000 songs, no biggie)

I'm planning another trip to Mt Rushmore on Labor Day with some friends...that should be fun. Hopefully it won't be too much of a strain on the budget though, I'm having a hard time with that as it is. We are planning on doing Mt Rushmore, Crazyhorse, Devil's Tower, Sturgis, the Black Hills, etc. I've done all these before (this will be my 4th time to Rushmore), but I don't mind being the tour guide, it'll be fun.

Summer this year has been pretty uneventful besides work. I miss my family (mom moved to UT, which means I won't see her hardly ever since I detest UT and will only go over there if I HAVE to). I miss my neices and nephews. The rest of my family is pretty much easier to love from a distance. I'd really like to visit with my aunts and uncles sometime, but I don't think that will happen until next summer, if at all. One of these days I'm going to travel more. I've actually considered doing a study abroad to Scotland, but that was before I changed majors. Rambling again...

Anyway, sorry it's been so long since I last blogged. People just need to kick me and tell me to blog and I will. Peace.

June blahness

Eh kind of birthday... (no one even showed up...I'm so special...)
Crazy work schedules... (can I have a vaca yet?)
Moving... (NEVER again...for at least a year)
Mom moving far far away. :o(
Listening to Christian artists to keep the "positive" from dying...
Spending way too much time alone with thoughts... (not a very good thing)...
Missing people something fierce...
Money issues (brought on by OTHER people against my will)
Family issues...
Depression crap again...
School anxiety...
Hot weather
Performing on July 4th seriously for the first time in like 10 years...
^^^Not looking forward to people laughing at the spectacle...^^^
Got handed more responsibility at work for the same crappy pay (and only because I'm the only one there in my area, not because they actually think I can HANDLE the job *rolls eyes*)...

Anger anger ANGER!!!!

***warning...if you have a problem with harsh language, don't read***

In case you can't tell by the title, I'm a little upset. Ok, a little is a MAJOR understatement, to say the least. Just got off the phone with oldest sis who has been having "uneffective" correspondence with dad's partner for the business that he owned. Seems this lady is trying to cut our family out of his part of the business. I won't go in to detail, but really, what gives someone the right to do that. Here later tonight when I am not so angry about it, I will be writing her a pretty nasty "nice" e-mail telling that she will have a certain number of days to change all passwords, e-mail accounts, bank record passwords, etc back to their previous, or she will be talking to our lawyer.

I am tired of playing nice. My siblings are tired of playing nice. This woman (and I use that term loosely...VERY loosely, even though she's like 50) seems to think that it's OK to effectively STEAL. It is NOT. Nor is it ok to lock us out of accounts that are both PERSONAL and business related. She basically took over ALL of dad's accounts without permission or warning...went in and changed the passwords and everything. BITCH. My poor lovely mother has no idea what to do...this whole business thing is soo not her forte. She is the creative mind of the family. So, us as siblings, are uniting as a strong front to take action against the theiving of my mother. Mom currently has no income, and this bitch trying to take her half of the business away is really pissing me off.

***end ridiculous rant***

Ok, so on to other things. Karleen's wedding was awesome! I had a blast!!! I'm soo jealous...decided that I'm never getting married, but hey, I can attend as many weddings as I can to suffice. LOL

I would post more, but I am pretty emotionally charged right now, so I will spare you all for now.
